Position Overview:
We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team and take ownership of financial reporting, compliance and audit across our entities.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely reporting, improving finance processes through automation, and supporting the wider Finance team. If you’re a qualified accountant with gaming industry experience, strong IFRS knowledge and a hands-on mindset, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
Take ownership of the monthly / annual reporting tasks for all group entities including but not limited to general ledger reconciliations, completeness of accruals and prepayments, ensuring proper cost allocation and capitalization and reviewing the income statement and balance sheet within the stipulated deadlines.
Provide management with explanations and analysis to support the costs, revenue or balances as may be required, identifying areas of concern and investigating exceptions at source.
Review cost centre transactional postings and ensure variances to budget and forecast are reviewed and explained and any amendments are processed.
Lead the group audit - provide external auditors with documentation, explanations and analysis as necessary to ensure a smooth execution of annual audits.
Preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS, including consolidation.
Assist in documenting and updating internal processes and procedures as necessary and contribute to the overall development and continuous improvement of such processes through feedback and active participation with the aim of strengthening the company’s internal controls.
Preparation and submission of income taxes, gaming taxes, VAT and other compliance returns to multiple authorities.
Lead automation projects to improve current processes for financial reconciliation, controlling and accounting.
Guide and support junior accountants and other accounting staff by answering questions, coordinating informational sessions and reviewing their work.
Perform other ad hoc analysis and tasks as may be required.
Requirements:
A fully qualified accountant through ACCA or similar.
A minimum of 2 years experience within accounting in the gaming industry.
A minimum of 2 years experience managing a team
A sound knowledge of IFRS reporting standards.
Able to work against stringent deadlines and deliver in a timely manner.
Able to work well within a team and communicate with colleagues at all levels.
Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft applications, especially Microsoft Excel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
A self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
